“Generally, people are not very fond of concrete and cement as a finish, mostly due to its tedious and monotonous character. For many, an exposed concrete wall or flooring is still associated with the image of an unfinished construction,” he says.

However, it is slowly evolving into a trend, going by the choices in the past few years. “A polished and smooth finish for the concrete and cement ceiling ensures that it easily blends in with the interiors and contributes to the ventilation. We can also enhance the rustic finish of concrete by bringing in bright and dark contrast elements. Exposed concrete can be pigmented and given various textures, making it more aesthetically appealing,” he adds.
