Abandoned church in Morocco gets a new makeover
Spanish artist Okuda San Miguel is famous for turning abandoned places with colorful graffiti. Last year he transformed a 100-year-old church into a skate park. Well this time he is back with a new project titled, “11 Mirages to the Freedom”.
San Miguel has covered abandoned church in Youssoufia, Morocco with bright colourful murals and the result is amazing.
Geometric patterns, bright colours and saturated hues is his signature style.
For the church in Morocco, San Miguel drew from a range of inspirations, including "surrealism, multicultural religions, and symbolic iconography about freedom, existentialism, identity, capitalism and nature," the artist told The Huffington Post.
According to reports, this work is a part of series called Street Art Caravane, which runs in various cities in Morocco throughout the year.
