An Artistic Affair

The gallery selects iconic artists of India and creates interesting and challenging art exercises based on the artists' work and style.

Art First India that aims at providing museum education to school students was amongst several art activities recently held under the aegis of the Children’s Fine Art Gallery. The gallery selects iconic artists of India and creates interesting and challenging art exercises based on the artists’ work and style. These not only help students look at the artist’s work critically but also learn, empathise and get inspired to create one’s own artwork. Drawing and painting, writing and performances based on the artist’s work are part of the art exercises.

To inspire and educate more kids, the gallery hosted an Art Competition for schools students under Art First India project and created challenging themes based on the legendary Indian artist late S.H. Raza. Raza’s work is both

intriguing and simple to understand and has endless opportunities to weave interesting themes for all ages, the gallery said, adding that the children, teachers and parents were all very contended with the final outcome.
