At the launch of Sania Mirza’s autobiography Ace Against Odds in Hyderabad, Shah Rukh Khan was all praise for the tennis star. The actor feels any movie made on the tennis star will be an inspiring one.
He said, “I think as a film it would be very inspiring and fantastic. And maybe I’ll ask her if she’d let me play her love interest. But I will produce it for sure.”
Shah Rukh added that Indian films based on the lives of sports stars will soon start making a mark internationally. “Somehow these films make us feel patriotic. Besides a few sports, our country has not made a mark internationally. Inshallah that will happen very soon, as things are progressing.”
SRK further added that he has followed Sania’s career closely and that he’s in awe of her determination.
Speaking of the book, the superstar added, “I think a book like this will inspire a lot of us. Her experiences are vital to understand how you fight the forces that go against you. There can be no obstacles when you have determination. I feel there should be a second part to this book.”
The actor also took the opportunity to bat for women in the country. “The more love and respect we show the ladies, we will have many more achievements like Sania’s. So respect women. There are no bigger achievers than women in the world.”
