BENGALURU: The 86th Kannada Sahitya (literary) Sammelana (meet) will be organised for three-days starting on January 6, 2023 in Haveri district, said Minister for Kannada and Culture Sunil Kumar and preparations for the Sammelana will begin with the spot inspection to be conducted on October 20 to host the event.
A discussion on hosting the Kannada fest in Haveri will be held with officials concerned of Haveri District Administration and volunteers to make the event a success. In the Sammelana, the Minister said, 86 achievers will be felicitated on the occasion and 20 sub-committees will be constituted for the smooth conduct of the Sammelana.
He estimated that the Haveri Kannada Sahitya Sammelana would draw about 10 lakh Kannada lovers to the three-day fest and all arrangements will be made for the event with immediate effect.
Prior to the Sammelana, the Minister said “Kannada Chariot” will go in a procession for 45-days all across the State.
