Start-up ideas get a book full of help
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: K. C. Chandrasekharan Nair, better known as KCC, needs no introduction to innovators as he had played a vital role in incubating nearly 200 startups while heading the first technology incubator of the state, Technopark Technology Business Incubation Centre (T-TBIC).
From his wealth of experience from ground zero, Mr Nair is bringing out a book on the keys to the success of startup ventures in the state. The Startup Habit has a co-author, Arun Surendran, the strategic director of Trinity College of Engineering. Finance minister T. M. Thomas Isaac will release the book by handing over the first copy to IT secretary M. Sivasankaran at a function to be held here on Monday.
As managing director of the T-TBIC, Mr Nair had the first-hand experience in incubating about 200 startups, many of which had scripted success at international level too. He had experienced the struggles faced by young innovators through various stages of entrepreneurship. These rich knowledge acquired through the first-hand experience has been compiled in The Startup Habit.
"From the state of ideation to successful commercialisation, innovators will have to face a host of challenges. I hope the book would give sufficient inspiration to hundreds of aspiring entrepreneurs," said Mr Nair, who is now serving as a principal consultant with KITCO.
It was frequent discussions between the authors on the entrepreneurship scene of the state that culminated in the idea of bringing out a book. Its contents could cater to all sections, including those who have not yet thought of entrepreneurship to those who are already in the success path of entrepreneurship, said the authors.
