Real talent cannot be discouraged by odd circumstances. The second edition of Swapnachitra, an exhibition of paintings by 50 differently abled persons from all over the State is the testimony to this fact. The exhibition that was inaugurated by actor Mamukoya, began at Kerala Lalithakala Akademi Art Gallery in Kozhikode on Wednesday is organised by Dream of Us, a collective that aims at bringing differently abled people to the forefront.
Around 100 works of various artists who have been identified through social media, special schools and other organisations that promote them are being displayed at Swapnachitra. The exhibits can also be purchased by those who are genuinely interested in art. The proceeds would go to the artist concerned. The exhibition will go on till February 10.
