Pune based artist Sandeep Chhatraband is showing his recent work in The Art Walk Gallery, Hotel Oberoi, Nariman Point, Mumbai.
The exhibition that started on January 29 will continue till February 11.
The recent innovative endeavors of Sandeep Chhatraband exemplify subtle nuances of the sanctity and relevance of Divine Eternity prevalent in the holy city of Benaras and its vicinity. Indeed, it is his artistic ode to the Grandeur of the religious environment and traditional heritage as well as culture there which truly signify the richness of Indian cultural vignettes in the apt arenas.
Deeply impressed by the religious atmosphere and vivid nuances of the architectural beauty and monumental peculiarities of various temples in Benaras, Sandeep has created and presented this series based on his artistic impressions during the visits to this city.
Using research minded optimistic approach, he has justified the glorified aesthetic quality in various works via the eternal chanting of religious hymns and mantras as well as other rituals on ghats there during morning and evening prayers.
He has also highlighted the architectural details of vivid temples and building of religious sanctity though shade and light effects, shadows, reflections, illuminations etc to enhance the aesthetic quality and eternal divinity of each work.
Speaking about his project the artist says, “My work elaborates an optimistic and artistic expression of the divine eternity prevalent in every nook and corner of Benaras that is not only aesthetic and innovative but also eternal and mesmerizing.”
He goes on to add, “I have focused on the various seasonal highlights and peculiarities in that arena prevalent in different period throughout the year.”
Endowed with subtle nuances of religious sanctity and their relevant perceptions, the recent presentation of Sandeep Chhatraband bears testimony to his genuine artistic talent and creativity which is bound to amaze one and all thereby leaving an everlasting visual impact on their mind.
