Mother nature in all her hues

Two art shows celebrated the uniqueness of nature through the works of prominent artists in Bengaluru.

Two shows being held in the city were different in their own artistic ways but had one similarity, and that was expressing nature at its best. The first is a group show by talented artists held at level one, JW Mariott Bengaluru. The curated show features local artists who have made Bengaluru their home. The show is an eclectic mix with some known names and some young artists, with an eclectic juxtaposition of paintings and print makings.

Kanthraj, one of the stellar watercolour artists has displayed his signature style creative landscapes. Anand Jain’s representation of the tribal and traditional culture is wonderful. The way he has captured the emotions is spot on. Santhosh CH has been the kind of artist who always likes to experiment. In his ink on paper works, he depicts animals in various forms and motions in a bid to show that how they too are suffering in the rat race.

Ganesh Doddamani has his trademark Hampi series. Priyanka Gupta Agarwal’s decorative works add life to the show. Adding a different dimension, Print Maker and Artist Sujata Sah S has displayed intricate prints from her collection. As an artist she always has had a versatility to her work and through the works she explores the sensitivities in relationships. The show curated by RajatMittra runs till May 15. Anil Anniah has been a changemaker as much as he has been a photographer artist. Every year Anil, through his work, works towards spreading the message of conserving the earth. This Earth Day 2019, Anil Annaiah narrates a story with images from his earlier collections, to inspire people to lead the way into the future, to live in a better World andSustainable Environment.

“Nature is Art for Conservation” the fine art photography collection showcases Innovative and unique style of images, Diffused style colour renditions and many graphic impressions in vibrant colour forms. This year’s exhibition theme encouragesviewers to start a conversation about the role of nature in the Planet we live in. What’s different is Anil, through his works promotes engagement of children. They checked out the exhibition images, watched the films and listened to the talk on the concept of this Project to implement.

Then it was time to engage and put the concept into practice. They went around and enjoyed sketching images from Nature present at ChitrakalaParishath. The art show concluded recently at ChtrakalaParishath.
