When dance goes digital

The Skeleton Dance Crew is gearing up to dazzle Kochiites with a performance on March 7.

Bhangra is peppy and fun. What's not to love about it? But when digital effects are added to the equation, things are at a new level altogether! The Skeleton Dance Crew, otherwise known as the team that introduced 'Tron Dance' in India, will be in Kochi on March 7.

This unique dance crew has gained popularity not just for their spectacular moves, but also for the eye-popping techno techniques they use during the performances.

Established by Harpreet Singh in 2011, the members of the team have been winning hearts with their smooth dance moves and onstage skills.

"We will be performing the Tron Dance and the Laser Man Show in Kochi. This will be a corporate event. As many as six members from the crew will be part of the performance in Kochi. We are actually a team of 29 members," says Harpreet.

Skeleton Dance Crew's tagline is 'Beyond your imagination'. He says the team believes in delivering results beyond the imagination of the audience and showcase unbelievable dancing styles to the people.

The crew has been a part of many television shows such as Dance India Dance, Chak Dhoom Dhoom, India's Got Talent, and Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega. "Although we have been performing since 2001, the Tron Dance was introduced during our performance for Dance India Dance," Harpreet adds.

Apart from Tron Dance, the team also has a set of unique visually enticing dance moves that include Visual Animatronics, 3D Video Mapping, Laser Man Show, Visual Pixel Poi, Optical Illusion Dance,Tron Bhangra Dance, Michael Jackson Dance Acts, Video Mapping Dance and LED Buugeng Show. The team has performed 3,060 shows in various places till date and has over 5 million views on their YouTube channel.

He says, "The aim is to promote dancing in a positive way and introduce different dance concepts to the people of the country."
