Kochi is a place that appreciates good humour wholeheartedly. This is evidently one of the reasons why many comedy troupes have emerged from the city. However, Kochi is still new to the culture of stand-up comedy. While all other metro cities have accepted the art, we are still in the beginning stage.
‘Pavam Malayali’ will present a brand-new English-Malayalam stand-up for the people of Kochi to popularise the stand up culture. The event will be held at The Blooms Cochin hotel in Kakkanad at 5.30 pm on June 22. The programme will present new faces in comedy for the city. Pavam Malayali has also planned to make stand-up a regular event and to organise discussions at various places which will encourage talented people to come forward to take up stand-up comedy as a profession.
