RCB Knocks on SC Doors Over Uber Advertisement Featuring Travis Head

The high court reserved the judgement on RCB's plea seeking interim injunction.

The alleged derogatory advertisement was titled 'Baddies in Bengaluru ft Travis Head'. In the 0.59 second long video, Head was seen going to the Bengaluru stadium, where he alters a flexy using a spray. He edits the name of the Bengaluru side to "Royally Challenged" Bengaluru.

The ad video currently has 1.3 million views on YouTube.

Advocate representing RCB, alleged that Head disparaged the IPL franchise's trademark in the video. The Counsel argued that, Uber, being the commercial partner of SRH, used RCB's trademark while promoting their services, which is against the law.

She further said that the trademark used was a 'deceptive variant' similar to RCB's and the fan comments on the video leave no doubt that Uber was directing at RCB.
