Looks like top actresses are not shunning roles with grey shades these days. We saw Sridevi who played an antagonist recently in the Vijay-starrer Puli. Now, sources in the know tell us that Trisha, who is teaming up with Dhanush for the first time for Kodi, will portray a character with negative shades, although the actress remained tight-lipped about it when contacted.
Directed by Durai Senthilkumar, Kodi also features Shaamlee as one of the female leads. The buzz is that the story revolves around Trisha’s character, and that the VTV star has a meatier role than the other actress. Reportedly, Trisha will play a headstrong lady, and her character in the movie is similar to that of Neelambari, the role made memorable by Ramya Krishnan in Rajinikanth’s Padayappa. Trisha joined the shoot at Pollachi which is expected to be a long schedule, according to a unit source.
Meanwhile, Dhanush has shifted loyalties from Anirudh to Santhosh Narayanan for the music of the film. Satish and SA Chandrasekhar are also part of the movie.
