Vijayawada: The state government on Monday issued notification GO MS 98 for filling of Group 1 and Group 2 posts. According to the notification, 89 Group I posts and 508 Group II posts would be filled in various departments by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission.
According to the notification in the Group I category, 25 DSPs of police would be filled,12 as deputy collectors, five as registrars of cooperatives, six as assistant treasury officers, four as district employment officers, two as assistant audit officers, one as a backward class welfare officer, one as deputy jail superintendent (men), one as a district fire officer, one as a municipal commissioner (Grade 2), three as district registrars, 18 as assistant commissioners in sales tax, one assistant excise superintendent, three district social welfare officers, and six regional transport officers.
In Group II, 161 assistant section officers would be filled in the general administration of the secretariat, 23 assistant section officers in finance, 12 assistant section officers for law, 10 assistant section officers for the legislature, four grade 3 municipal commissioners, 114 deputy tahsildars, 16 sub-registrars (grade 2), 150 excise sub-inspectors, and 18 assistant labour officers.
