YV University to conduct PG common entrance test-2021
KADAPA: The responsibility of conducting Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (AP PGCET) -2021 has been entrusted to Yogi Vemana University (YVU). The State Board of Higher Education has announced a common entrance test for PG admissions across all universities in the state from this year for the convenience of students.
The online admission test will cover 127 courses, including MA, MCom, MSc, five-year integrated MSc and PG diploma in 13 universities.
Admission to first year PG courses for the 2021-22 academic year will cover all affiliated PG Colleges, private, unaided and minority institutions in the state.
The schedule, including dates of collecting and submitting applications and examination, will be released shortly, officials said.
YVU vice-chancellor Prof. Munagala Surya Kalavati will be chairperson of the AP PGCET Management Committee. It will include VCs from SVU, Andhra University region, special chief secretary for higher education and commissioner of college education. YVU Prof. Y. Nazeer Ahmed will be the convener.
Prof. Kalavathi expressed happiness that there would be a common entrance test for all PGs and thanked the government for giving them the responsibility. “This is an honor bestowed on Yogi Vemana University. We will maintain the trust and credibility of our university,” she said.
