AP Edu Fest-2022 week from Aug. 28
VIJAYAWADA: AP government will celebrate this year’s Edu Fest-2022 in a grand manner from 29th August to 5th September, coinciding with 60 years of Teachers’ Day. Authorities are putting in extra efforts as celebration of Teachers’ Day for past two years had been subdued due to Covid-19 pandemic.
School education commissioner S. Suresh Kumar said parents’ committees, NGOs, philanthropists, old students’ associations, alumni, retired teachers and public representatives will be roped in to celebrate Edu Fest-2022 in an elaborate way.
On August 29, the first day of Edu-Fest, there will be staff meeting to analyse performance of students and formulate an action plan for slow learners. On August 30, student clubs will be formed with regard to science, social service, cultural activities, sports, health and so on. Teachers will be the mentors of these clubs.
On September 1, there will be a parents’ committee meeting to which NGOs, philanthropists, old students’ associations and so on will be invited to prepare an action plan for celebrating Teacher’s Day. There will be discussions on government schemes like Amma Vodi, Nadu-Nedu, Jaganna Gorumudda, and Jagananna Vidya Kanuka. Strategies will be formulated on how long absentees could be made to attend schools once again.
On September 2, there will be health check-up for students and staff, apart from discussions on career guidance. On September 3, there will be various competitions for students and teachers. On September 4, there will be sports and games for teachers.
September 5 will mark the 60th Teachers’ Day celebrations. There will be distribution of prizes to winners of competitions for both children and teachers, felicitations to Best Teacher Awardees and retired teachers, inspirational talks by guest speakers and Upadhyaya Deevenalu for all children.
