HYDERABAD: A private organisation in association with Educational Initiatives (Ei) will be implementing a program in 50 schools across Telangana to introduce computer science to children and to improve their Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) skills using Ei's Personalised Adaptive Learning (PAL) tool.
The programme supports students who may typically lack these opportunities to further their computer science careers. The programme, started in September 2021, aims to reach 50,000 girl students in the state.
To commemorate the completion of a year of the programme in which 10,000 girls across 50 tribal schools were benefited and to launch the programme in 200 more tribal schools, Educational Initiatives organised the ‘Computer Shiksha Lo Nuthana Adhyayam - Supporting future engineers’ event on Thursday at TWAS Muthyalamma Gudem.
Minister for ST welfare, women and child welfare Satyavathi Rathod said, “In line with the Government of Telangana's focus on providing the quality education to all, especially for tribal girl students, it is heartening to see that students from the TWAS Muthyalamma Gudem School get access to quality computer science education.”
