APPGCET-2021 notification released

This is the first time in the state that a Common Entrance Test is being conducted for admissions to all universities in the state

KADAPA: Yogi Vemana University, Kadapa has released the Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (AP PGCET) -2021 notification for admission in all universities and postgraduate centres in the state. PGCET is conducted for admission to MA, M. Com, MCJ, M.LIB.Sc, MEd, MPEd, MSc Tech courses.

This is the first time in the state that a Common Entrance Test is being conducted for admissions to all universities in the state.

Online application, registration and submission process began on Thursday. General category candidates have to pay a fee of Rs 850 per subject, BC candidates Rs 750 and disabled, SC and ST candidates Rs 650 per subject. The last date for submission of applications is September 30. Applications can be submitted till October 4 with a late fee of Rs 200 and by October 8 with a fine of Rs 500.

PGCET convener Professor Y. Nazeer Ahmed said that it was tentatively decided to conduct the test on October 22.

Hone extra skills, students told: Meanwhile, YVU vice-chancellor Prof. Munagala Surya Kalavati said that one cannot excel if one does not have extra skills, while speaking at a workshop on ‘Formation of Youth Policy Draft’ hosted by the Society for training, employment and promotion (STEP).

YVU registrar Prof. Vijaya Raghava Prasad said the government was going ahead with the flagship program to provide skills to the youth. STEP CEO Dr. Ramachandra Reddy explained the purpose of the youth policy.

Experts from various fields like Dr. Madhusudan Reddy, Murali Manohar, P.D. Rammohan Reddy, Sampath Kumar, Manikanta and Subbarayudu gave valuable suggestions to students.
