ICMAI Satavahana chapter to train students for high-paying jobs

The chapter will train students from rural backgrounds to provide high-earning opportunities in the business sector

Karimnagar: Officials of the Institute of Cost and Management Accounts of India (ICMAI) on Tuesday inaugurated the Satavahana chapter of cost and management accounts (CMA) at SRR Government Arts and Science College in Karimnagar

The commissioner for technical and collegiate education of ICMAI, Navin Mittal, said that the chapter would provide employment to students and attractive remuneration. It will train students from rural backgrounds to provide high-earning opportunities in the business sector.

He said the college management must link the CMA course with B. Com and C.A. The course would include lessons on modern technologies, such as artificial intelligence, cyber security and data analytics.

He said that updating one’s knowledge base and keeping abreast with technological advancements were essential to excel in the field.

Calling the set-up a milestone, Mittal congratulated the college management, faculty and students for securing autonomous status.

The national president of ICMAI Iyer P. Raju was also present on the occasion, along with college principal K. Ramakrishna, collector R.V. Karnan, ICMAI Telangana chapter president A.V.S.N. Murthy, academic guidance officer Dr T. Chary, Satavahana University registrar Varaprasad and government women’s degree college principal T. Sree Lakshmi.
