Asus reveals Zenfone 2 Deluxe special edition with enhanced specs
Mumbai: Just after releasing the Zenfone Zoom last week, Asus has unveiled a new variant of the Zenfone 2 Deluxe, which will accompany an all-new Intel Atom Z3590 processor for enhanced performance.
The Zenfone 2 Deluxe special edition has been listed on the company’s official website, however, no details regarding price or availability has been shared. Initially the Zenfone 2 Deluxe special edition was released in August last year.
The new special edition variant comes along with numerous performance and feature upgrades including 2.5GHz processor in contrast to the Zenfone Deluxe’s 2.3Ghz one. Additionally, the new handset also accompanies an improved Intel Z3590 processor over the previous Z3580 GPU. Most of the other configurations seem to be similar on both the devices.
Accompanied by a 5.5-inch FHD IPS display, the device is good for multi-tasking and playing games on the go. On the camera front, the device is powered by a 13MP primary camera with autofocus, and a dual-tone flash. The device also employs a secondary 5MP front snapper for selfies and video calling.
The dual-SIM device employs a 64-bit quad-core processor coupled with 4GB RAM, and has an internal storage capacity of 128GB that can be extended to 256GB via external microSD card. The new Asus Zenfone Deluxe special edition utilises an Android Lollipop OS with the company’s native ZenUI on top. A 3000mAh non-removable battery fulfills the power requirements of this device.
The new device also receives a significant design upgrade, as it will be available along with swappable rear covers in sleek ‘Drift Silver’ and ‘modish Carbon Night’ colour themes.
According to the company, the Drift Silver cover’s multi-faceted tactile finish is made up of over 500 polygons, hand-tessellated for superior the best grip. Moreover the Modish Carbon Night weave-patterned rear cover is made of featherweight materials engineered for the future’s fastest racing cars. To back up the sporty concept, the device also comes pre-loaded with the full version of Gameloft’s Asphalt 8.
