Chennai: AIADMK general secretary J Jayalalithaa on Wednesday urged party cadres to focus on work to achieve a massive victory in the ensuing assembly polls. Visiting the party HQ to inaugurate new party offices for six district units, she set the election ball rolling. Addressing her party men, the AIADMK supremo said, “Hereafter there in no defeat for the party”.
Invoking party founder M.G. Ramachandran, she urged the party cadres to hail Dravidian leaders Anna and MGR and works towards a massive win. “This function to inaugurate the party district units and unveil MGR statues is a precursor to the massive victory the party will record,” she said in gung ho comments on the coming polls.
“AIADMK founded by our leader MGR is more than my life and it has to be guarded from the evil forces and the political family (indirectly referring to the DMK's first family)”, triggering applause from among the cadres and party functionaries who thronged to greet their leader.
Earlier in the day she inaugurated new offices at Villupuram South, Namakkal, Karur, Pudukottai, Theni and Dindigul from the party headquarters through video conferencing and said the new offices will be the place for party men to gather and strengthen the party by evolving poll strategy.
