National Herald case: Man donates finger at Tirupati after Sonia, Rahul get bail
Bangaluru: After Sonia and Rahul Gandhi were granted bail in the National Herald case, as 35-year-old granite businessman from Karnataka cut off the little finger from his left hand and donated it to the presiding deity of Tirupati temple as a token of gratitude.
Induvalu Suresh, who hails from Ramanagaram, 60 kilometres from Bengaluru told a national daily that he and other Congress workers were worried sick after the party President and her son were summoned by the court, and thus made the bizarre pledge.

Suresh kept his family in the dark about his plans to donate his finger and reportedly wrapped it in a thousand rupee note to handle the pain once he cut it off.
