Make up is become an essential element of everyone’s daily regime but knowing the basic technicalities of make up has always been a challenge for many. Be it knowing the right products or the right colour tones or the accurate make up for the right occasion; doing it right is very important and not many have mastered the nuances.

This thought occurred to Actor Tannaz Irani on numerous instances and that is when the idea of a Make Up Makeover Academy struck and she jumped on the bandwagon to open a branch of Cherag’s Magical Makeover in Andheri, Mumbai being the hub of the entertainment world. Says Tannaz, “Many of us think using make up every day can harm our skins, but that’s not true. Using it properly and then knowing the right type for Films, for TV, for Live events, to walk the ramp, to attend weddings or for day to day affairs; this academy we will teach it all and make all more make up friendly and to understand make up better.”

Designer Rohit Verma who has been a part of numerous shows across India and internationally like Paris, San Francisco, New York, Sydney, Dubai says, “Being a Designer I would like to say that the right make up is very crucial for every outfit but unfortunately in India, we have limited certifications for professional make up artists, initiatives like these, will definitely make a lot of difference to the way people perceive make up.”

International Award winning Singer Songwriter Shahin Badar who is in India currently and launched her new single “Ignition” opines, “I travel the world for live shows and for my music album launches and be it during my shows or my travel, following the right make up regime is so important for a healthy skin.”
