Miquel Blázquez Font Counts his profession of Sports Journalist more than passion
Miquel Blázquez Font has always loved football. Ever since he was ten years of age, he listened to the long commentaries on the radio of various football games that made him passionate about the game. The radio commentary helped him understand the technicalities of the sport that soon made him realize that he should take up a career in sports journalism. In his school days, he not only played sports but also visited the radio station just to get an insight into the sport the place. He made up his mind to enter into this field which soon helped him choose his graduation in Communication Sciences from UAB or Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
Completing his course, he joined a local newspaper and also worked in a Radio to practice what he learnt in his graduation. He soon got an edge over the various aspects of sports journalism like reading, researching, interviewing and commentary. He got the chance to work in radio and is still connected to the radio with programs like Sin Concesiones radio program, which deals with keeping the sports lover updated about different sports including football. He loves to be the part of various football groups and clubs that renders him to carry out the commentary.
He is also active on social media and he used his presence on various social networking platforms to air his views and make his friends and followers get his insight about the sport. He embarked with Overtime Instagram profile and a website where he intends to offer audiovisual content to young audience of Eruopean territory. Also, he manages a YouTube channel with videos of sport teams from Barcelona. Being active on social media has helped him to gain 2.4 million followers on Instagram that remains the biggest sports platforms in the world. Besides, Font remains the part of a few broadcast groups where he is seen as a commentator on the sports broadcasts for different Euroleague and Liga Endesa ACB matches of the Futbol Club Barcelona basketball first team.
