He says, “Like most Bollywood actors I also have struggled for four years on the streets of Mumbai. I have seen one of the most difficult phases of life because of lack of guidance and connections in Bollywood. During my early days, I had no idea whom to approach for acting jobs, where auditions for Bollywood films took place, where to submit portfolios, how to contact casting directors etc. Whatever I have faced, I would never want anyone else to face the same .”

Breaking into Bollywood is definitely not a piece of cake. Thousands come down to Mumbai with a dream of becoming a Bollywood star, trying out their luck in Bollywood. So here are some insights from Kuldeep Singhania that might help you to crack auditions faster.

He says, “Most auditions take place in Andheri West majorly in Four Bunglows, Seven Bungalows and Aram Nagar. There are Facebook and Whatsapp groups that provide valuable insights regarding the same. One can join these groups free of cost. If you want to take in some serious acting classes before auditioning, then Anupam Kher's Actor Prepares, Whistling Woods and Roshan Taneja's Acting Studio can be a few good options.”

He continues, “Once we know where auditions are taking place, it's best to be at the location at the earliest. This is to avoid delays and missing out on the next audition, which reduces the selection chances instantly.

“One last tip would be to keep giving as many auditions as possible without thinking of results. Also don’t forget to network with your other actors and casting directors at auditions. Be very active and in touch with everyone on social media, you never know who might just help.”

Hopefully these insights will help you kickstart your journey in Bollywood. One last tip would be to never enter Bollywood with the mindset of getting rich quick. Film and television industry is not easy to work in. To survive and earn good money in Bollywood takes a lot of effort and patience even from good actors.
