Amiee Misobbah reveals all about her debut music video Nain Matakka'

The model turned actress is now all set to make her debut in the music video arena

Bollywood and the music industry go hand in hand. The audience who once used to enjoy 3-hour long cinema have gradually made a shift, now films are being made with a duration of around 140 minutes. In recent times, music videos have grown quite popular and established a sort of culture in India. This has not only showcased fresh talent through music videos, but we have also seen some known celebrities using this medium as a means of appealing to their fan base.

Amiee Misobbah, one such talented name has been making headlines in India’s music arena. She has been an internationally recognized and acclaimed model who has won many beauty pageants and has walked the ramp for many designers and global brands. With an experience of about 10 years in the world of glamour, Amiee has built a strong fan base all over the world. The model turned actress is now all set to make her debut in the music video arena with the song titled ‘Nain Matakka’. In an interview, Amiee spoke her heart out about the song, her excitement of having produced the album and much more.

Q: How did the song fall in your kitty?

A: I was already planning to make my debut in a music album for over a year. The COVID-19 pandemic hit the world, everything took a turn and hence I could not plan it during the peak Covid restrictions. Fortunately, the situation has improved a lot now, though still not out of the woods yet. During the restrictions and lockdown period, I decided to venture into production of music videos and started my own production house. Bringing out the best creativity, I decided to try something out of the box, and that’s how the idea of producing the music video was conceived and the rest followed.

Q: What was your reaction when you first heard the song ‘Nain Matakka’?

A: I was impressed and how. My first impression after hearing the song was, “I want to be a part of it and produce it myself.” The peppy dance number instantly made me groove to its tunes, and I decided to make my debut in music videos with this quirky song. Afsana Khan and Marshall Sehgal have done an excellent job by lending their voice to this song. I loved their previous works with their respective music videos, ‘Titliaan’ and ‘Tamasha’.

Q: What’s your take on music videos gaining tremendous popularity in recent times?

A: I believe that music will be etched in everyone’s heart forever. It is not going to diminish, but will only improve. In the time of the pandemic, music videos are an excellent source of entertainment, and in a year, many chartbusters got released online by reputed music labels. The rise of independent music in India is mainly because they convey a story merely in 5 minutes. I am excited about my debut and have been simultaneously working on other projects as well which will be disclosed at the appropriate time.

Q: When are you planning to release the music video?

A: We have just started working on the project including the production. After a lot of recee, we decided to choose Dubai as our location for shooting the music video. The song will be extensively shot there, and the album should be ready by early March. All I can tell you now is that the locations are picturesque and this music video will see me in a completely different avatar. We will make an official announcement about its release at a later date.
