Mumbai-based entrepreneur Aditya Modak recently came across a severely injured street dog who was left unattended on the roads of Navi Mumbai.
Aditya rushed him to hospital and found that he had a hip bone fracture that needed immediate surgery. Doctors quoted Rs 21,000 for the treatment. Without thinking for a second, Aditya agreed to pay the money.
Aditya Modak, who is the proud owner of K9 Kennel and an ardent dog lover, shared on social media the tragic incident of the dog and urged people to donate for the treatment and after treatment of the injured canine.
People came forward in large numbers to donate which not only helped in collecting money for the surgery but also the after-treatment process. The dog is currently doing well and is under observation at a foster home in Mumbai.
Having worked as a dog breeder and trader for years, Aditya is aware of the basics of animal welfare.
Aditya has been an extreme dog lover ever since childhood. His fondness for dogs was the major reason for him to set up his own kennel.
