CMC, Amazon India Sign MoU to Set Up Gig Worker Rest Stops in Cyberabad

Hyderabad: Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) and Amazon India have signed a MoU to establish gig worker rest stop porta cabins at five locations under Amazon's CSR initiative.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary, MA&UD, and Dr. G. Srijana, Commissioner, CMC along with Zonal Commissioner Serilingampally.
The cabins were established at five locations proposed locations – Kondapur, Tellapur, Patancheru, Bharathi Nagar and Chandanagar.
The entire cost of establishing and maintaining these facilities will be borne by Amazon India. The rest stops will be accessible free of charge to gig workers from all platforms, providing facilities for rest, refreshment and basic needs.
