Khush Is Top Performer With All-Round Show in Cricket League

Hyderabad:Khush Agarwal emerged the top performer of the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s leagues as he followed up his century on Thursday with a five-wicket haul in Friday’s action.
Mahadev Cricket Club benefited from an outstanding allround contribution from Khush, who scored 100 and later claimed 5/73 from 18 overs, including five maidens to help his side defeat Karimnagar District by 220 runs in a ‘B’ Division match.
The ‘A’ Division produced a strong run-scoring display, led by Deccan Wanderers’ commanding chase against Combined District-2. P. Nitish Reddy struck a power-packed 87-ball 137 with 18 fours and five sixes, while Harshit Choudhary remained unbeaten on 115 from 114 balls, including 17 fours and a six.

Balaaji posted the Division’s biggest total, reaching 365/9, while UBI and Imperial also crossed 400, making run accumulation a defining feature of the round. UBI amassed 461/7 against Charminar and Imperial made 428/6 against Gemini Friends.
Bowling highlights were led by K. Sri Harsha, who claimed 5/66 for Balaaji against AOC, while Shaik Azhar returned 6/43 in Combined District-1’s 32-run victory over SCRSA.
Overall, the round featured a mixture of dominant batting performances, sizeable totals and clinical bowling spells, with several teams demonstrating the ability to control matches through either sustained scoring or disciplined attacks.
In the ‘B’ Division, Postal survived a high-scoring contest against Kosaraju, with Shaik Rehaan Roshan producing the round’s highest individual score in the division — a patient 119 from 178 balls, containing 13 fours and a six. Postal’s 389 ultimately proved enough to defeat Kosaraju’s 359.
Deccan Arsenals and Nizamabad District registered large victories after setting substantial totals, while Telangana and Zinda Tilismath were similarly well served by their bowling attacks.
The bowling department produced several major hauls. Ujjwal Yadav’s remarkable 6/13 from 11 overs, including seven maidens, was the most economical standout of the round. Naren Koka returned 5/20, G. Chaitra Sandeep (5/31), M. Sai Ganesh (5/39) and J. Gaurav Nag took 5/41.
WMCC featured two five-wicket hauls in the same match, with Karthik Kuchipudi taking 5/39 and Subham Tripathi getting 5/44.
At the other end of the scale, several matches were decided by narrow chases, including Nalgonda District’s five-wicket win over Mega City and Hyderabad Blues’ three-wicket success against Beema.
