Jennifer Lawrence, known for her humour and “quirky” behaviour, has received backlash for “rude” comments that she made to a foreign journalist at a post-ceremony press conference at the Golden Globe awards on Sunday night.
Telling him to put down his phone while he was asking her a question about her thoughts on the upcoming Academy Awards, “You can’t live your whole life behind your phone bro... We are at the Golden Globes, if you put your phone down, you’d know that,” and rolled her eyes.
Twitter users, reacting to a video of the incident criticised the actress, saying. “I used to find Jennifer quite funny and relatable but now she’s quite rude and arrogant,” while another wrote, “Jennifer tries to be sassy and sarcastic but she always forgets that tiny line where you can become rude and disrespectful.”
