Biharis are smart, intelligent and no different than any other Indian in the country.
Every years, Bihar churns out many top rankers in competitive exams.
Many people underestimate the people of Bihar, but the fact is, the state is filled with talented people.
\"Celebrate being a Bihari and keep this identity as your prized possession.\"
\"Everyone is a brand ambassador of Bihar, irrespective of caste, creed, profession, etc.\"
We have to show the world that we find pride in being called Bihari.
\"Not only this, the word 'Bihari' has surpassed geographical and demographic boundaries as a symbol of curse. People all around the country use the word 'Bihari' to mock and ridicule anyone.\"
\"Even though Biharis have excelled in every walk of life, the stereotypical perception is still there.\"
\"The accent of the Biharis is an object of mockery all over India. And our beloved film industry and media has a huge contribution in creating such an image.\"
\"Should people from Bihar be born with special and different traits or something else so that you can spot us from a distance?\"
\"How come your English is so good?' Now what is that supposed to mean? Are we supposed to look different from others just because we are from Bihar?\"
A well dressed and well versed Bihari is still a matter of awe for many. 'Oh, are you from Bihar? 'You don't look like one or you don't speak like one'! '
\"To most Indians, ''Bihari'' is a derogatory word (people who behave in an ill mannered way)\", the site said. And through these photos wanted to change that perception.
PatnaBeats wanted to show the world that Bihar is more than just a provider of migrants workers. That the state has accomplished individuals from all walks of life.
While cultural stereotypes are very common in India but one will have to admit that the states of UP, Bihar have the most negative stereotypes attached to them. So a Facebook page decided to bust some stereotypes about Biharis to prove that the state is not just about 'jungle raj'.
