With Rohit Dhawan's John Abraham and Varun Dhawan starrer buddy cop flick Dishoom having released to positive reviews, we decided we would try and revisit a few odd cult Bollywood bromances.- Rajkumar Santoshi's cult comedy of errors Andaaz Apna Apna has conjured a gargantuan cult following over the years, courtesy its timeless humour and primarily owing to the chemistry between Salman Khan and Aamir Khan.
- The pioneers of bromance, Dharmendra and Amitabh Bhachan's Jai and Veeru from Sholay have become synonymous to the very concept.
- 2008's Dostana had Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham play guys who pretend to be gay. What followed was some mad chemistry and a much awaited sequel that has perennially been in the making.
- This 2007 Hindi remake of the Hollywood hit Hitch had Salman Khan playing love tutor to Govinda (Again, yes). Did we complain? Hell to the no!
- Sanjay Dutt and Govinda (Can we ever get enough of this man!) made for the most improbable comic pair with astounding success, making Haseena Maan Jayegee, Jodi No.1 and Ek Aur Ek Gayarah worth a zillion re-runs.
- Deewana Mastana, the 1997 David Dhawan directorial, united Govinda and Anil Kapoor for the second time after 1990's Awaargi and we all know what followed.
- Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan have done a few good films together but the most reminisced of them all has to be Main Khiladi Tu Anari, courtesy to their crackling on-screen chemistry.
- Karan Arjun, the cult Rakesh Roshan directorial, united two of the biggest stars the country has ever seen to create a potboiler that's become the source of some legendary popcult patronage over the years.
- Amitabh Bachchan's return to Bollywood after his 90's sabbatical was the second highest grosser of 1998, mainly owing to his bonhomie with comic legend Govinda.
- The two quintessentials of 80's bromances, Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff have starred in many hits together, including the evergreen Ram Lakhan, Parinda and Roop Ki Rani Choro Ka Raja.
