The superstar, who has been shooting for his period drama ‘Kesari’, looked dapper on arrival for the event.
Akshay was at his energetic best during the event, unlike his character from Pad Man, based on Arunachalam Muruganatham. Despite film release three months ago, he has not given up the cause.
The event as part of the Niine Movement, which aims to bridge the gap between 18 per cent women in the country who use sanitary pads and 82 per cent of those who do not.
Like Akshay, who has taken it upon himself to spread awareness about menstrual hygiene, there were others who took a pledge for it. (Photo: Instagram/ sharatkhemka)
