- 'Hero' star Sooraj Pancholi had the honours of presenting his co-star Athiya Shetty with her Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence award.
- Sanjay Khan had only praises to sing of Dadasaheb Phalke, and said that he was glad to be a part of this function.
- Vetertan actor Sanjay Khan and industrialist Ratan Tata were also present at the award show.
- Pritam Chakraborty said the Dadasaheb Phalke Award was a very prestigious award and that he was honoured to be at the event and even win a trophy for himself.
- 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' director Sooraj Barjatya also expressed his joy to be preset at the award show. He also spoke in favour of Salman Khan being appointed as the ambassador for the Olympics 2016.
- 'Piku' director Shoojit Sircar was happy to accept the award for his work on his 2015 family drama.
