Priyanka, who landed in India few days ago after completing her international assignments, has been utilising her time very well with appearances at various events, like awards shows, a wedding and this event.
Priyanka was a part of a discussion along with Dr. Yasmin Ali Haque, Representative, UNICEF India, and Avantika and Simran. Calling the experience 'enlightening', she wrote about the girls on Instagram, " Simran fought for her right to an education amidst much adversity from her family.”
She also wrote, “We discussed giving voices, platforms and equal opportunities to all adolescents. To give them a chance to express what they want to do and to demand their basic rights like education. I left the conversation further encouraged and determined to continue the work that we are doing with @unicefindia! #ForEveryChild #EndChildMarriage.”
Since being appointed the UNICEF global goodwill ambassador, Priyanka has been to countries like Zimbabwe and Jordan regarding the initiative and the actress would obviously want to do something for her own country.
