Their love story started on the small screen and everyone thought that this love was meant to last forever, however, after seven years, the two parted ways. Sushant went public and called their break-up an “unfortunate†event.
- After living together for 13-long-years, Tamil megastar Kamal Haasan and southern star Gautami parted ways in November. In a post on her personal post, Life and decisions', which was published on November 1, Gautami confirmed the news. Gautami and Kamal met on the sets of Apoorva Sagodharargal in 1989 and got into a live-in relationship in year 2005, as they refused to marry each other because they lacked faith in the institution of marriage.
- Apart from Arbaaz and Malaika's marriage, another divorce that shattered everyone's “forever and ever†image of love was Farhan Akhtar and Adhuna Bhabani's story. Early this year, Farhan and Adhuna ended their marriage of sixteen years. While it was highly rumoured that Aditi Rao Hydari was the reason behind the couple's split, the two later issued a joint statement.
- The biggest blow in 2016 came when Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora Khan called their 17-year long marriage quits. Even though the family and close friends intervened and tried to get the couple to make up, the two signed the divorce papers and separated.
- The year began with a bang as Ranbir and Katrina ended their 6-year long relationship. Their break-up news shocked everyone as fans were expecting the “much in love†couple to soon tie the knot. It was reported that Katrina wanted commitments, for which Ranbir wasn't yet ready so the two decided to part ways. While at KWK, Ranbir opened up and called “being single boringâ€, Katrina has gracefully moved on in her life.
