The film, helmed by A.L. Vijay, is scheduled to release on October 7, 2016.- The film is christened 'Devi' in Tamil and 'Abhinetri' in Telugu.
- Sonu, who also plays one of the leads in the film, has produced the Hindi version of the film.
- The film has a reinvigorated Prabhu making a comeback of sorts to full-fledged acting after his turn as 'Vishnu' in Remo D'Souza's 'ABCD' series.
