Anantapur: CPM state secretary B.V. Raghavulu had potshots against Telugu Desam that would be wiped out from the state on the lines of the BJD and Janata Dal in Karnataka state for having alliance with the BJP in the upcoming general elections.

Raghavulu had arrived here to take part in the meeting on ‘Anantapur district development -hurdles’ being held at Arts college on Sunday.

Speaking to media, Raghavulu observed Telugu Desam decision would again encourage the state towards another Gujarat, where Modi was responsible for Godhra carnage.

Reiterating the CPM central committee had clear stand to fight against the Congress and BJP at national level, he said that state committee would take a decision in February to finalise alliance with regional parties at state-level. He ruled out discussions with the YSRC and said sofar no dialogue was held with any party over the alliances for 2014 elections.

Reacting over the wasting of valuable time in the state Assembly, the CPM leader lamented the MLAs were neglecting many burning issues such as Brijesh Kumar committee report on Krishna waters, drought and unemployment. He also alleged that Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy for encouraging wasting of time in the Assembly.

Stressing the need to allow debate on the AP Reorgani-sation Bill-2013, he opined that all members should express their views and try to keep the state undivided. Raghavulu also accused that multi national companies were lobbying for formation of smaller states for their business purposes.
