No clash between Freaky Ali and Baar Baar Dekho: Salman Khan

Both the projects will hit the screens on September 9. "It's not a clash. If you (media) want to make it a clash then make it a clash. We hope Katrina and Sidharth's film also does well. We want both these films to do well," Salman said at the film's trailer launch held in Mumbai on Sunday.

"It's a good day (September 9) to release the film. It's not a 4,000-5,000 screen release film. Both are different kind of movies. I am sure audience will see both," he said.

"There is so much crowd and traffic today (referring to film releases on Friday). Every Friday there is some release. But we are banking on the title Freaky Ali' and it comes on September 9, it is Bakra Eid and it's a long weekend. We planned to release it that way. There is enough space for two films," he added.

"I hope that film ('Baar Baar Dekho') by Farhan Akhtar and Riteish Sidhwani (producers) does well and even we do well. Both the films are of different genre. We have got a niche audience and there is good space for both of us," Sohail said.

Talking about 'Dabangg 3', actor-turned-director Arbaaz Khantoday said he was waiting for his brother Salman Khan to give him dates for Dabangg 3'. 'Dabangg' (2010), in which Salman had played the lead, marked the Bollywood debut of Sonakshi Sinha.

"This is the man (Salman) who will give me the window (dates) otherwise he will show me the door," Arbaaz said.

'Freaky Ali' also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Amy Jackson, Arbaaz and others. On the occasion, Salman said in a lighter vein, "Why did you (media) remind him (Arbaaz) about the film. Had forgotten about 'Dabangg 3'. But yes, we are working on the script."

About his character in Freaky Ali', Arbaaz said, "I play Maqsood in the film who is a side kick. He is a gangster, a petty thief, extortionist and when Ali (Nawazuddin's character) is in trouble, he helps him. Ali and I share up and down equation."

'Freaky Ali' is set to be released on September 9.
