Actor-producer John Abraham has tied the knot with girlfriend Priya Runchal in a private ceremony.
The 41-year-old actor confirmed the news with a tweet, “Wishing you and your loved ones a blessed 2014! May this year bring you love, good fortune and joy. Love, John and Priya Abraham.”
John, who was holidaying in the US with Priya, is said to have tied the knot in the city of Los Angeles with only family and close friends in attendance.
The actor met Priya, an investment banker, in Mumbai in December 2010. He was previously in a nine-year relationship with actress Bipasha Basu.
Confirming the news, John’s close friend director Soojit Sircar told DC that “celebrations were definitely in order”.
“John has been planning to settle down with Priya for a long time now. I’m happy that they are a couple now. Soon after John lands, we are surely in for celebrations. It is a big day for all of us as we’ve wanted John to settle down in his personal life too,” said the director, who teamed up with the actor for 2013’s hit 'Madras Cafe'.
