New Apple TV finally gets podcast app support

The tvOS 9.2 update will bring Bluetooth keyboard support, folders, and an updated app switcher when it's released later this year

New Delhi: Tech giant Apple has finally launched the much awaited podcast app, as part of its latest update for the more powerful new Apple TV, according to a report.

The fact that the Podcast app has been available on older Apple TVs for years but wasn’t included with the latest Apple TV was weird, according to The Verge.

The podcast app was initially going to be released as part of the tv OS 9.2 update, however, the company released it earlier along with the tvOS 9.1 update.

The tvOS 9.2 update will bring Bluetooth keyboard support, folders, and an updated app switcher when it's released to the public later this year, the report added.

Apple TV is a digital media player and a microconsole developed and sold by Apple.

It is a small network appliance and entertainment device that can receive digital data from a number of sources and stream it to a capable TV for playing on the TV screen.
