Tonight’s games include Portugal vs Uzbekistan, England vs Ghana, Panama vs Croatia; and Columbia taking on DR Congo tomorrow morning

Tonight’s games in the FIFA world cup will complete the round two of group games of the FIFA World Cup 2026. In the first game of the night, title favourites Portugal will take on world cup debutants Uzbekistan. The second game of the night is an all-star England team against Ghana. This is followed by the game between Panama and 2022 world cup semi finalists Croatia. The last game of the match day will be Latin American team Columbia against Democratic Republic of Congo. Here is a preview for what could be an electrifying match day at the biggest stage of world football.

Portugal vs Uzbekistan (10:30 PM)

The Portugal team, headlined by one of the probable ‘Goats’ of the game, Cristiano Ronaldo, with a very talented and in-form set of players from across the elite clubs in Europe, are set to take on Uzbekistan, who play their only second world cup match in their footballing history. Portugal will need a convincing win to keep their knockout hopes alive, as they had met with a disappointing draw against DR Congo, in their first game of this world cup. Meanwhile, even if the Uzbekistan team are able to register even one point from the game, it would be historic to them, as the newcomers.

Players to lookout for: Cristiano Ronaldo, João Neves, Bruno Fernandes (Portugal); Abdukodir Khusanov, Eldor Shomurodov (Uzbekistan)

England vs Ghana (01:30 AM)

In the second game of the night, England’s Three Lions will take on Ghana’s Black Stars at the Boston Stadium. After their convincing victory against Croatia in the opening fixtures, England will look to repeat their dominant performance and get all three points to book the tickets to the next stage in the world cup. Meanwhile, Ghana is coming on the back of a last-gasp victory against Panama. The game will be an exciting watch as the Harry Kane-led England attack the defensive prowess of the Ghanaian national team.

Players to lookout for: Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham, Marcus Rashford, Bukayo Saka(England); Antoine Semenyo, Jordan Ayew, Caleb Yirenkyi, Brandon Thomas-Asante (Ghana)

Panama vs Croatia (04:30 AM)

The mavericks of Croatia, who reached the finals in the 2018 world cup and the semi-finals in 2022, have started their 2026 campaign with a defeat at the hands of England, in a re-match of the 2018 world cup semis. They will look to secure a win and all three points in this match against Panama, who are playing their second only world cup in 2026.

Players to look out for: José Córdoba, Tomás Rodríguez (Panama); Luka Modrić, Petar Musa, Martin Baturina, Ivan Perišić, Joško Gvardiol (Croatia)

Colombia vs DR Congo (07:30 AM)

In the last game of the second round in the group fixtures, an in-form, all-out-attack-styled Colombian team will look to defeat an ultra defensive DR Congo team, who held the mighty Portugal to a low-scoring draw in the first game. Meanwhile, the Congo team, gaining confidence from the result against Portugal, would look to convert any chance to counter-attack and get goals against the Colombians.

Players to look out for: Luis Díaz, James Rodríguez, Cucho Hernández, Jefferson Lerma (Columbia); Yoane Wissa, Axel Tuanzebe, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Samuel Moutoussamy (DR Congo)
