FIFA World Cup 2026 Quarterfinals: Full Schedule, Qualified Teams and Fixtures

France, Morocco, Spain, Belgium, Norway, England, Argentina and Switzerland have secured their places in the FIFA World Cup 2026 quarterfinals as the race for the title enters its final eight stage. And then, there were eight. The biggest World Cup, with 48 teams, has now reached the third round of its knockout phase, with 40 nations falling by the wayside in the last two weeks.

The FIFA World Cup 2026 has reached the quarterfinal stage, with just eight teams remaining in contention for football's biggest prize following the completion of the Round of 16.

France, Morocco, Spain, Belgium, Norway, England, Argentina and Switzerland advanced to the last eight after winning their respective knockout matches.

Morocco defeated Canada 3-0, while France edged Paraguay 1-0. Norway stunned Brazil 2-1, and England survived a thrilling encounter to beat Mexico 3-2.

Spain knocked out Portugal with a 1-0 victory, Belgium eased past the United States 4-1, Argentina overcame Egypt 3-2, and Switzerland advanced after defeating Colombia 4-3 in a penalty shootout.

The quarterfinals get underway on Friday (IST) with France taking on Morocco, followed by Spain against Belgium on Saturday. Norway will face England later on Saturday, before Argentina meet Switzerland early on Sunday morning (IST).

Argentina vs Switzerland – Sunday, July 12, 6:30 AM IST – Kansas City Stadium

The winners of the four quarterfinals will progress to the semifinals as the expanded 48-team FIFA World Cup moves closer to crowning its champion.
