2016 is here and it’s the year of being bold and adventurous, shedding off inhibitions and taking the plunge into unchartered territory. India is quite in line with the global trends and clients are exposed to the best and latest options in cuts, styling, colour and care.

Globally, trends in colour are evolving to more freehand techniques. What started with balayage and ombré has now evolved to mermaid, candy and ecaille being one of the latest techniques. However, with creative colouring like pinks, blues and teal etc comes a lot of responsibility to ensure the texture of the hair is not damaged. Thanks to hair insurance treatments like olaplex, it gives stylists the flexibility to really play with colours without the fear of damaging their clients’ hair.

Hair care is another aspect that has always been extremely important. With a lot of internal and external elements playing havoc on an individual’s hair, good products to reverse such effects and maintain the PH balance are essential.

Treatments with nioxin, like the scalp facial, to unclog hair follicles and improve resilience of the hair are becoming extremely popular. There is also something called the liquid hair therapy, which is formulated with essential amino acids and hydrolised keratin. The liquid works to help restructure the hair both inside and out whilst nourishing it.

For a long time, a lot of people have also been worried about the safety of shampoos and conditioners. Products free of sulfates, parabens and artificial colorants are the way to go.

It is wonderful to have evolved so much where anything can be done with the hair without constantly worrying about detrimental effects. So go ahead and surprise people with something new every time you see them.
