A picture of Bollywood actor Preity Zinta and Australia Cricketer Glenn Maxwell was going viral on social media platforms including meta's Facebook with a claim that the two had attended the ongoing Maha Kumbh at Prayagraj.
Both of them were on a boat in white traditional attires.
The post was first shared on Facebook with a captain that read, "Glenn Maxwell And Preity Zinta Lovely Picture in mahakumbh Sangam."
However, after extensive research we found that the picture is fake and is generated using Artificial Intelligence. Looking closely at the picture we observed distortion in fingers of the hands, and a mismatch in eyeballs. The background in the picture with luxury speed-boats also doesn't resemble Kumbh.
On the other hand, the bollywood actress had taken to her Instagram handle, where she posted a picture of her after attending the Kumbh. Flaunting her forehead with tilak, the Punjab Kings co-owner captioned it, "All roads lead to the Maha Kumbh. Sathya Shivam Sundaram."
Maxwell is currently in Pakistan as he is a key member in the Australian squad that is competing in the ICC Champions Trophy.
