Vishwambhara Taking Time for VFX Work, Set to Enthrall Viewers

The film’s music is composed by Oscar-winner M M Keeravani.

Megastar Chiranjeevi recently scored a massive hit with the family entertainer Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, directed by Anil Ravipudi. The film emerged as a major success and one of the biggest hits in Tollywood. Interestingly, Chiranjeevi’s much-anticipated fantasy film Vishwambhara, which went on floors much earlier, is yet to hit the screens.

Addressing the delay during the trailer launch event of Couple Friendly, Ajay Kumar of UV Creations spoke candidly about the status of the film. He said, “You all saw the CGI work in the first teaser. Unfortunately, the VFX received a poor response from the audience. Taking that feedback seriously, we ensured that the second teaser featured significantly improved and solid VFX.”

He further added, “Vishwambhara is a big-scale film and requires extensive CGI work, which naturally takes time. The official release date will be announced by Vamsi garu.”

Vishwambhara is a socio-fantasy entertainer with Trisha playing the female lead, while Kunal Kapoor essays the role of the antagonist. The film’s music is composed by Oscar-winner M M Keeravani.

Originally slated for a January 2025 release, Vishwambhara was later postponed to April to make way for Ram Charan’s Game Changer. Additionally, following the trolling of the initial VFX work, the makers decided to rework the visuals extensively to deliver a more polished and viewer-friendly spectacle.

With the massive success of Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, Chiranjeevi has made a strong comeback at the box office. Given that Vishwambhara marks his return to the socio-fantasy genre after several decades, the film is expected to generate strong business across the two Telugu states and overseas markets as well.
