Vijayendraprasad movie on RSS to cost Rs 450 cr?

Well-known Telugu screenwriter Vijayendra Prasad, who has worked on major blockbusters like 'Baahubali,' 'RRR' and 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan,' has scripted a story glorifying Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. "The budget estimates for this magnum opus is Rs 450 crore and it would be launched on a massive scale,' says a source who adds, "The project is being backed by a corporate house in Mumbai and Vijeyendraprasad could be directing the film," he adds. With RSS completing a hundred years, the film would go on floors sooner than later with a big cast and crew. "The organization was launched on September 27, 1925, and it would complete 100 years by 2025," he points out.

It was first reported in 2018 that Vijayendra Prasad would be writing a film on RSS and people associated with it including KB Hedgewar, MS Golwalkar, Veer Savarkar, KS Sudharshan, Mohan Bhagwat, and others. Vijayendra Prasad was invited as the chief guest at the launch of Ram Madhav’s book ‘Partitioned Freedom’ in Vijayawada. He claimed that he got to know more about the organization after visiting Nagpur and meeting Mohan Bhagwat. "I stayed there for a day and understood for the first time what RSS is. I felt a lot of remorse, that I wasn’t aware of such a great organisation for so long,' he had said.

Earlier, the father of ace director S S Rajamouli, helmed Telugu films like 'Rajanna' with actor Nagarjuna which revolved around Razakar atrocities on poor Telangana people before Independence.
