Veteran Telugu actor Raghunatha Reddy passed away suddenly due to a heart attack. He was 72 and had been suffering from health-related issues for some time. The tragedy is compounded by the fact that his son, Sudhakar, also died of a heart attack just a month ago. Close associates believe the emotional shock of losing his son had a severe impact on Raghunatha Reddy’s health.

A native of Vijayawada, Raghunatha Reddy was widely known for his sharp and intense villain roles. Over a career spanning more than three decades, he acted in over 370 films, earning a distinct identity in Telugu cinema. His crisp dialogue delivery and convincing portrayal of cunning antagonists made him instantly recognizable on screen. Raghunatha Reddy began his film career in 1991 with Sarpayagam, directed by the Paruchuri Brothers and starring Sobhan Babu. He is survived by his wife Annapurna and three children.
