Tripti Dimri Replaces Deepika Padukone in Spirit: Know Casting Controversy and Salary Discrepancies

Bollywood actress Tripti Dimri became one of the most sought-after actresses in Bollywood after her stellar performance in Animal. Post-Animal, Tripti has been flooded with multiple offers in Bollywood, thanks to Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga for roping her in for the film.

Now, the duo are all set to collaborate again for Prabhas’ much-awaited movie, Spirit.

Currently, the film is hitting the headlines for various reasons, especially the reported feud between Deepika Padukone and Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

For those who don’t know, Deepika was initially the first choice for Spirit's female lead. Deepika exited the project, and the reason is yet to be known. It is being said that Deepika demanded Rs 28 crore plus a 15 percent share in profit, and she also had strict shooting conditions. This reportedly didn’t go well with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

Deepika is no longer part of Spirit; Tripti Dimri has replaced her as the leading lady.

Did you know how much Tripti is reportedly getting paid for Spirit? If reports are to be believed, Tripti is being paid Rs 4 crore to be part of the movie, and she is also amenable to longer shooting hours. Tripti made things easier for the makers, as they are reportedly fine with paying Rs 4 crore, which is significantly less compared to Deepika’s reported demands.

Talking about Spirit, the film is headlined by Prabhas, who will be essaying the role of a cop. Spirit will be made on a huge scale of Rs 400 crore and is expected to go on floors in August.

Spirit will hit the big screens in 2026.
