Vishwambhara Not in Line, Kadiri Takes Centre Stage
With Chiranjeevi himself choosing not to mention Vishwambhara at a UV Creations event, curiosity among fans has only grown.

Megastar Chiranjeevi attended the success meet of Korean Kanakaraju, produced by UV Creations. While the event featured discussions about his upcoming film with director Bobby Kolli, there was conspicuous silence over Vishwambhara, the long-delayed fantasy drama also backed by UV Creations.
Interestingly, Chiranjeevi spoke at length about his collaboration with Bobby Kolli and even revealed the film’s title, Kadiri. However, neither the actor nor the UV Creations representatives mentioned Vishwambhara. The silence has surprised fans, particularly amid reports that the fantasy adventure is being planned for a Dasara release.
Directed by Vassishta and featuring Trisha as the female lead, Vishwambhara is one of the most expensive films in Chiranjeevi’s career. The film has been in production for over two years and has faced several delays, largely due to its extensive VFX work.
The teaser released earlier drew criticism for its visual effects, following which the makers reportedly decided to revamp the VFX extensively. Since then, there has been very little official communication about the film, adding to the uncertainty surrounding its release.
Interestingly, industry circles claim that the VFX work is now progressing at a brisk pace and that the film is being targeted for a Dasara release. “Vishwambhara is expected to arrive during the Dasara festival, as the VFX work is being completed on a war footing. However, we have to wait for an official announcement. Until then, we need to keep our fingers crossed,” says a source.
